Hi there my name is Louie and I'm a 10-month old lab-pit mix.
I have been at HALO K9 Behavior Center though the Shelter & Rescue Partner Program. The shelter thought I would be a good candidate for this program because when I was surrendered to the shelter, I was very fearful and showing fear aggression (growling at the shelter staff).
At HALO, I learned that people aren't so scary but actually very nice. I also have many, many dog friends who have helped me overcome my fear of people. I am currently working on: walking nicely on a leash (I am still afraid of bikes), respecting items in my room (I still chew on things I shouldn't), and greeting people properly (sometimes I bark at them). Even though I am a work in progress, I am the sweetest boy with the cutest personality. I would do best in a home with someone who has another confident, well adjusted dog who can teach me how to overcome my issues. I've only been at HALO since August and have made amazing strides. The people at HALO are confident that I will be a perfect companion given the chance.
Love, Lou-Lou

This dog is not currently at the shelter, but in a foster home, and we will need to work with the foster to find a time that is beneficial for all parties to meet the dog. We appreciate your patience and flexibility.
